汉瑞（Matt Cohen 饰）和劳拉（Danielle Savre 饰）兄妹俩童年时曾亲眼目睹父母被人残忍杀害，他们从此患上惧怕黑暗的毛病，生怕黑暗中的恶灵会跑出来伤害他们。孤独的两兄妹相依为命，成长期间不断接受精神治疗。哥哥的病情开始有了明显好转，他决心去另一个城市开始新的生活。
